Born and raised in the Denver area, Rob Bernhardt graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1986. Enlisting in the United States Navy, Rob served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise for four years prior to enrolling at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After graduating from C.U. Boulder in 1994, Rob attended law school at the University of Denver College of Law and proudly graduated in 1997 with a Juris Doctor degree. During Law school, Rob had the privilege of working for the Honorable Larry J. Naves in the Denver District Court as the Judges bailiff and later his law clerk. After passing the bar exam in the Summer of 1997, Rob began his legal career at the Denver District Attorney's Office, where he worked as a prosecutor under A. William Ritter, Jr. During his time at the Denver District Attorney's Offices, Rob handled a variety of criminal matters, including county court cases, juvenile cases, and district court felonies. Rob left the Denver District Attorney' Office in the spring of 1999 to open his own practice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. An avid sportsman, Rob enjoys fishing and hunting, as well as most outdoor activities. In addition, Rob Bernhardt is actively involved in the Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree mason and is a member of the El Jebel Shrine.
